Across all of Northern Ireland, we offer direct support for people living with and affected by Motor Neurone Disease (‘MND’), every day.
We are always on the lookout for people interested in supporting us with our fundraising activities, so why not join us today as one of our fundraisers and have an impact in a way that works best for you.
What does a Fundraiser do?
Famously one of our most flexible and agile opportunities, this is a volunteer role who links closely with both MND Association staff and volunteers alike as One Strong Team to drive impact through engaging in fundraising activities.
Specific tasks and activities will vary, and may include any of the following:
̶ Community Engagement – attend local fundraising activities which may include cheque presentations, donor events, or cash collections
̶ Planning – plan and organise fundraising activities/events on behalf of the Group – examples might include ‘Bake it!’ and ‘Walk to d’feet’ - read more here: Fundraise to Fight MND
̶ Organising – process physical street collection activities in accordance with applicable requirements/regulations (eg. Local Authorities) – this might include static collection tins in public or private premises
̶ Team working – link with local teams (eg. Relationship Fundraiser and Finance Officer) to manage funds in line with procedures
̶ Awareness – act as an ambassador for the MND Association and engage with local organisations or partners in fundraising activities
̶ Policies – adhere to the MND Association’s policies and procedures, including Safeguarding
̶ Events – as this role may involve attending meetings and events, expenses such as travel are covered per our policies.
Fundraising activities will vary locally, and as such not all above activities may be relevant to all roles.
Time commitment is flexible and variable depending on individual capacity.
This role is recruited through Safer Recruitment processes, which means the process includes a short interview and two references.
Successful applicants will complete a structured induction pathway, and will receive ongoing local support from their allocated Community Support Coordinator (‘CSC’) and Relationship Fundraiser ('RF').
