We are looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to support our market and event days by helping create a welcoming and positive experience for visitors and traders. This role is ideal for people who want behind the scenes experience of how events and markets are delivered, alongside practical experience in dealing with the public and supporting traders.
No previous experience is needed, and full guidance will be provided on the day.
What the role involves
• Welcoming visitors and helping them find their way around the market
• Answering simple questions from the public and traders
• Providing a friendly point of contact for traders on the day
• Keeping an eye on the site and flagging any issues to the market team
• Offering light support to traders if needed, such as passing on messages or lending an extra pair of hands
• Supporting the smooth running of the market in a calm and approachable way
