MAIN FUNCTION OF JOB
To be responsible, through management and staff leadership, for promoting and ensuring the highest standards of care, in compliance with statutory requirements, to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
To ensure the Home is run efficiently and effectively whilst safeguarding service users.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Council for Social Witness is part of the work and witness of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and its aim is to provide care for people in a specifically Christian ethos and environment, placing great emphasis on offering spiritual support and encouragement to residents, as well as physical care.
Lawnfield House is a purpose-built 18-bedroom residential care home located in Newcastle, nestled under the scenic Mourne Mountains. Lawnfield House provides 24-hour care for people with disabilities such as physical disabilities, visual/sensory impairments, mild learning disabilities and frail elderly. It offers both permanent and respite placements. This role will also include the management of a small 2 bed supported living service next to Lawnfield House.
The Home operates a no smoking policy.
