The role of the Care Assistant is to provide care and support for residents within the Christian ethos and aims of the Council for Social Witness

Hours: 14 hours per week (shifts: 6pm – 10pm)

(week one 3 shifts, week two 4 shifts)

Salary Scale: £13.10 per hour (no NVQ)

£13.16 per hour with NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care

£13.20 per hour with NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Location: Harold McCauley House, 7 Camowen Terrace, Omagh, BT79 0AX

Essential Criteria:

Evidence an understanding of and respect for the needs of older people;
Willing to undertake appropriate training as required;
Awareness of health and safety practices within a working environment;
Proficiency in understanding, communicating, and writing in English to level required by the duties of the post;
Basic numeracy required by the duties of the post (as endorsed by appropriate qualification or use of numeracy skills in a work or home environment).
Availability for flexible hours working (including weekends), which may include hours beyond the normal shift pattern
Must be registered/willing to register with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council within 6 months of appointment.
